According to the Christian Spiritists, the Coming of the Holy Spirit at the Pentecost marked the fulfillment of Jesus's mission. It was during the Pentecost that the transmission of Divine power that Jesus had prophesied occurred.
It came in fiery tongues of flame that descended upon the heads of the apostles (Acts 2:2-3) who, at that moment, were possessed by the Holy Spirit and immediately thereafter found themselves able to perform spiritual works that paralleled those which Jesus had performed.
The Apostles were able to discern the exact nature of the gifts that they had received and classified these gifts of the Holy Spirit into three categories.
The first were the gifts of Revelation, which include (1) Words of Wisdom, (2) Words of Knowledge, and (3) The discernment of the True Spirit.
The second category were the gifts of Power, which include (4) The Gift of Faith, (5) The Gift of Healing, and (6) The Gift of the Working of Miracles.
The third and final category, the gifts of Inspiration, include (7) The Gift of Prophesy, (8) The Gift of Diversity of Tongues, and (9) The Gift of Interpretation of Tongues. (1 Corinthians 12:1-12)
